At Class ACT School for the Performing Arts, we believe in the power of creativity and self expression. Our mission is to inspire and educate children through theatre and performance classes. The Three Musketeers & the Very Pretty Diamonds

The Three Musketeers and the Very Pretty Diamonds is filled with farce, slapstick comedy, and larger-than-life characters. In this play, Cardinal Richelieu schemes to become the ruler of France by blackmailing Queen Anne with her stolen diamonds, while the Musketeers, led by D’Artagnan, plot to rescue her. Featuring betrayal, chaotic battles, and justice served, this show is sure to please and unite with the classic rallying cry: “All for one and one for all!” This class starts with the experience of auditioning and includes the memorization of lines and blocking, as well as a final performance complete with costumes and makeup.

A Hippo Ate My Homework

When a teacher gets fed up with her class’s lame excuses for not having their homework, she challenges them to come up with some more original ideas. Watch their inventive excuses come to life in this fun original comedy.

 

This class starts with the experience of auditioning and continues with the creation of a character, memorization of lines, and a full performance with costumes and makeup. All students will receive a major role in this show that is performed for the public.

Detective Derring-Do

Date: February 23rd – March 6th

Time: MWF: Mondays & Fridays @ 4:15pm – 5:15pm, Wednesdays @ 3:15pm – 4:15pm

Show: Friday, March 6th @ 4:45pm

Grades: K – 2

Did you know that famous detectives can be a little competitive? They like to swap stories and see who has had the most interesting and adventurous mysteries to solve. Join these smart, brave, and often hilarious detectives as they decide who has had the most brilliant Detective Derring-Do!

 

In this class, students have the chance to play fun theatre games as they work on acting skills. Each student will create a unique personality for a detective character to help tell this story. The play will be performed, complete with costumes and makeup, on the last day of class.
