"Almost, Maine" Cast and Production Team

Meet the Cast!

Allyn Pharo - Gayle

Allyn Pharo is a retired park ranger, firefighter, and child therapist. Now she's a full-time artist and a volunteer at the Padilla Bay aquarium. This is her second acting adventure.

Beth Bishop - Sandrine, Shelly, Marci

Elizabeth is excited to be crawling out from under a pile of foster kittens to be back on stage at ACT. Audiences may remember parts of her as Madame Thenardier in ACT’s production of "Les Miserables", the eccentric Scottish Concierge with an unhealthy Kevin Costner obesession in "London Suite", uptight violinist turned saddle tramp Mary Lou in "Cowgirls", reflective adult Bo in Off the Map, and hooker with a heart of gold, Angel in "Best Little Whore House in Texas". As for "Almost Maine", Elizabeth is thrilled to be working with Jessica and Myles as directors and starring opposite some of her favorite people and long-time friends – Phil Prud’homme, Shelli Stahl Prud’homme, and Raido McComas. She’s excited to be going toe to toe with these incredible talents with some challenging material. "

Billy Hendrix - Daniel

Billy is ready to take on a role with this very talented group of actors. Although he has spent much of his time recently as a director, he is happy to have fun on stage. Billy and his partner Sally live in Anacortes. They are both retired, giving them time to garden and hike. This makes him a very lucky man indeed.

Chandler Eichele - Randy

Chandler Eichele enjoys taking on any theater role he can get his “model like” hands on. From setting the scene with his jaw-dropping lighting design, stunning vocal chords in musicals, and tight communication backstage; some see him as a quad-druple threat. Chandler is excited to stage manage this fabulous group of performers at ACT, and bring this show to life. From spending months on the practice of buddhism, he has learned to live in the moment, and love the moment. Enjoy the show!

Donna Gibson - Glory

Donna Gibson is new to ACT. She has participated in community theater in Tukwila and in the Sacramento, California area. A lawyer professionally, she also is an amateur photographer and novice screenwriter. She is an avid fan of 80s music, boating and travel. She is the mother of three grown children and married to Philip. They live in Anacortes.

Ethan Van Liew - Chad

Ethan Van Liew, who plays the role of Chad, is joining ACT Theatre for his first production. Ethan is a Skagit local and has been in “A Chorus Line” and wrote and directed his own short film “Harvest” featured in the Bleedingham Film festival.

Phil Prud'homme - Jimmy, Lendall, Dave

Philip Prud’homme has performed at ACT for 13 years; you may have seen him as Randall P. McMurphy in "One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest", Boo Radley in "To Kill a Mockingbird" and various characters in "Mama Don’t Fly". Philip loves to swim and perform awkward comedy, but not at the same time. He also enjoys getting dragged into crazy film projects with his wife (also in this fabulous production) and spending time with his stepson, Jordie, and various furry family members.

Raiðo McComas - Easton, Phil

Raiðo McComas has been involved in several ACT shows a year for a dozen solar revolutions, both onstage and backstage. One could say that he’s got a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell, er, live theatre. When not misbehaving according to script, he’s tossing freight around in the back of a local Anacortes hardware store, the heathen version of an actual workout routine.

Ree Murphy - Hope

Ree Murphy moved from Central Washington to La Conner eight years ago and has thoroughly enjoyed being part of the ACT family ever since! She has been involved in community theatre for over 50 years, on and off stage at the Warehouse Theatre in Yakima, WA, and this is the fifth play she has been in at ACT. Ree extends her heartfelt thanks to the Director, Producer, Actors, Production Crew, and all the generous and talented people that have helped with this production of ALMOST, MAINE!

Shelli Stahl - Waitress, Deena, Rhonda

Shelli is so thankful to be back on stage, and especially to brave the boards with this amazing cast and crew! Some of Shelli's past ACT shows with other cast and crew members include "Mama Won't Fly," "Beauty and the Beast," and "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.." During the pandemic, she busied herself with working from home, hanging with her pets - Rexie, Quincy and Phil, 😉 and pursuing voiceover work from her home studio. Thank you for joining us - I am so grateful to share this time with you all!

Tim McLaughlin - Pete, Steve

Tim is very happy to be performing in this show for many reasons, but his favorite is that this is the first time in quite a few years that he’s been able to perform alongside the very talented Willow McLaughlin. When he is not virtually treading the virtual boards, Tim enjoys long, coffee-fueled walks with his wife, hanging out with his two awesome sons (ages 16 and 13), and painting tiny models and then playing games on big tables with them. He also works for Western Washington University as a programmer and server infrastructure administrator. Over the last 20+ years, you may have seen Tim acting and singing in some of ACT’s other shows. A few of the most recent include Jeremy Jordan in “A Killer Party”, Grasshopper in “James and the Giant Peach”, Matthew in “Anne of Green Gables”, Man in the Chair in “The Drowsy Chaperone”, and Sheriff Joe in “Spitfire Grill”.

Willow McLaughlin - Ginette, Marvalyn

Willow is the Class ACT Coordinator at Anacortes Community Theatre and is thankful for the opportunity to work with talented young actors every day. Willow has been a part the Anacortes Community Theatre family for 23 years and has tried her hand at just about everything in that time. Willow was recently in ACT’s virtual production of “Thank You, 10!”, and before that she was last seen on stage in “Mama Won’t Fly.” Willow’s favorite moments always involve her hubby, Tim, and her two boys, Kai and Taeven.

Meet the Production Team!

Jessica Guzik - Director

Jessica has worked most recently on the ACT productions “Every Brilliant Thing” (Narrator), “The Last Five Years” (Producer), “Peter Pan Jr.” (Director) and “The Drowsy Chaperone” (Janet). She is a teacher on a stay-at-home-mom hiatus and volunteers as the treasurer for the ACT board of directors. Jessica enjoys reading, taking piano lessons, playing with her kids, corndogging her husband to high heaven, and sitting quietly at home. She has had a real good time working on this show with these people and hopes you have a real good time too.

Myles Doorn

Myles Doorn is excited to make his directorial debut with ACT, for Almost, Maine! Myles comes from a family of performers, and as such, loves to perform as well as direct, as well as tend to his rose garden, donating the bouquets to the local rotary club. He enjoys spelunking, golf, and wakeboarding on the Sound.

Dawn Uroff - Producer

Dawn Uroff is thrilled to be back working on an ACT production with so many wonderful souls. Her last production was playing the Russian princess in "Murder on the Orient Express". This is her first experience as a producer. Dawn teaches 5th grade reading and writing locally and works with Class ACT's Aktion Theater.

Molly Robbins - Producer

Molly is a humanities and drama teacher at Anacortes Middle school. Her first experience at ACT was around 20 years ago in the Fringe show Stalkers Anonymous, written and directed by Willow McLaughlin. She performed in several other mainstage shows until the birth of her son in 2006. She is so very excited to be involved at ACT again!

Chandler Eichele - Stage Manager

Chandler Eichele enjoys taking on any theater role he can get his “model like” hands on. From setting the scene with his jaw-dropping lighting design, stunning vocal chords in musicals, and tight communication backstage; some see him as a quad-druple threat. Chandler is excited to stage manage this fabulous group of performers at ACT, and bring this show to life. From spending months on the practice of buddhism, he has learned to live in the moment, and love the moment. Enjoy the show!

Susan Buszta - Technical Director

Susan Buszta is an editor by day and ACT Board secretary by night. She has designed lighting and sound on a variety of ACT productions including "The Last Five Years", "My Fair Lady", "Number the Stars", "Les Miserables", "Little Shop of horrors", "Woman in Black", and more before that.
