Anacortes Community Theatre and COVID-19

Dear Anacortes Community Theatre Patrons, Members and Friends.
As the situation around COVID-19 continues to evolve, Anacortes Community Theatre is working to do so as well. Since our last update, by order of Washington Governor Jay Inslee, all gatherings over 50 people are banned and entertainment venues have been temporarily closed. The safety of our volunteers, artists, staff, audiences and everyone in our community is our top priority, and we are making a number of adjustments to support these new requirements.
Our building will continue to be closed until the current prohibitions are lifted. The box office can still be reached by phone at 360-293-6829. Ticket purchases and donations can be processed at any time by clicking the buttons below.
The auditions for “Ada and The Engine” on March 28th and 29th have been cancelled. We will have more information about modifications to the third show in our 2020 season very soon.
In accordance with the new guidelines from our state and federal officials, we have made another adjustment to the performance dates of “Disney’s High School Musical”. Our new opening date is Friday May 8th. All tickets will be moved forward based on this new opening. Our mission at Anacortes Community Theatre is to celebrate live theatre with every performance. While we are committed to providing quality live entertainment to all of our patrons, we will continue to adjust dates as necessary to be in compliance with the guidelines from our state and federal officials.
If you currently have tickets to “Disney’s High School Musical”, you will receive an email with your new ticket date. Your tickets can be accessed online through your original emailed receipt, by clicking the “To PRINT this TICKET, click here” link provided on the receipt. As we make adjustments to ticket dates, this link will continually be updated with the correct ticket date. You can also exchange your tickets online through the “To EXCHANGE this TICKET, click here” link on the receipt. If you no longer have the receipt, please let us know and we will be happy to resend it. We can also exchange your tickets over the phone at 360-293-6829. Please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as possible. Throughout this process, there is no need to print your tickets at home. We will have your tickets waiting for you at the door the night of your performance. If we don’t have your email on file please send us an email at email@example.com, so we can update your information.
As a valued member of our community, you can appreciate the impact of a postponement on ACT’s financial health. Non-profit organizations like ours have no contingency budgets in the cast of civil emergencies like this one; our resources overwhelmingly go to producing work for the stage. If you are unable to attend one of the rescheduled shows, we are asking you to consider donating the cost of your tickets as a gift for Anacortes Community Theatre, for which we will gratefully issue you a tax receipt. If you would prefer not to make a donation, we can issue you a gift certificate of equal value, good for any future ACT show. On behalf of everyone at ACT, we truly appreciate your investment in us and our vibrant arts and culture community.
