Play Day 2020

At this meeting, we will go over the process for presenting a play for consideration in the Anacortes Community Theatre 2021 Season. Also, any interested directors will share the shows they are considering. This gives us an idea of what areas we might need more options, or to share thoughts, concerns and questions. It’s a sharing of ideas!
At this point, we aren’t sure if this will be a virtual presentation or take place as usual in our building. However, either way, we will have a virtual option for those who aren’t comfortable meeting in large groups.
Anyone can present a play at play day, but each presentation must have a director and producer attached.
o Previously directed or assistant directed a main stage or fringe production at ACT.
o Previously directed at another Theatre.
o First time ACT Directors will be required to work with an ACT Director as mentor.
o The Board may require that any director have an experienced mentor to co-direct or assistant direct based on the type of show and experience of the proposed director.
