Project UpLIFT

Over 20 years ago, a young student in a wheelchair asked for a simple thing: a way to see our shows. Because she couldn’t climb the stairs, she had to be carried in – until the community came together and built Katie’s Lift in 2003. It’s served countless patrons since.

 

Now, the lift is nearing the end of its life. We’ve launched Project UpLIFT to replace it – $75,000 needed, $22,000 already matched. We need your help to close the gap.

 

Why this matters:

 

Project UpLIFT will keep our theatre accessible to everyone – friends, neighbors, families – who rely on it to experience the joy of live performance. It’s not just a lift. It’s dignity, inclusion, and a promise kept.

 

And it honors ACT’s mission: “Producing live theatre that entertains, engages, and inspires.” For 62 years, our community has made this possible. Let’s keep that legacy strong.

 

Donations of $500+ will be recognized with a permanent plaque in the lobby. And good news – this year, gifts of up to $1,000 ($2,000 for couples) may be fully tax-deductible. (Please consult your advisor.)
